lil...I don't know what to say. The eggs will be dropping all week. I'd bet more closer to V-Day since many people may have mistakenly thought that the breeding week would begin then, not end then.

RMMC & Diso, you are both absolutely right. I do have time.... I just badly want a good one for breeding. I'd feel "safer" if I'd caught a breedable one first.

I did have a bit of Vamp luck. Fear bit my purebred (well, as close as they can get) Bluna. It changed and stayed. I especially like the hybrid pedigrees for my purebred Vamp line. They are a layered story of how the breed is made.

sam: I've grabbed another vamp egg from the AP. I've posted it in lost in trade. If no claimers, do you want it? I will warn you it is slightly inbred, but as it's a vamp, it can't pass it on. If you'd rather a pretty lineage, I'm still willing to bite what ever you want.

I managed to catch another Vampire from the AP, but I just don't have the time to try to catch a Valentine. Congrats to lilbird and RMMC on their successful grabs.

I'll just wait to see what I can grab on the 14th. They're the same eggs, correct?

Nope. Last year's are popping on the AP (like the Yulebucks did at Christmas), the '10 Valentines will only drop in the Cave itself on Valentine's Day.

I can try catching for folks this week if they'd like. I don't promise anything, but I will try.

And...if my first egg grows up before midnight on the 14th, I'll breed her and give Goners first go at the eggs.

Jyro, don't give up. I still see them on the AP. I believe people will be breeding them up to the last moment. Congratulations on the beautiful new Vamp. I took a look at the parents scroll. They have another vamp egg related to yours. I'd say it's a safe bet the vamp that bit yours is one of the four on that scroll as well. That means it was either Darla, Drusilla, Angelus or Pincho.

lil's right, Jyro. I think folks thought breeding for last year's dragons would be next week and some are in the cool down stage from breeding over the weekend or late last week.

I think I'll be letting both grow up to breed. The second one, while it's the longest lineage of anything I have, it's got a clean lineage. Needless to say, next year I'll team it with a CB.

Which leaves me with finding a mate for the one I may be able to breed this year. I decided to try for an even gen lineage, so I looked through my boys to see who had CB parents. I've got 5 candidates: Red Marl (Red), Hessionite (Maji), Blue Diamond (Water), Barnes (Pink), and Kernite (White).

I leaning towards the water dragon. Part of me however would love for Barnes (the Zomie Invasion survivor) to be it, but there's that balloon parent...

Anyway, sure, I'll try to grab a Valentine for you Jyro.


Now I gotta think about what to name these 4 frozen hatchies I have. I'm running out of fruit flavors...

RMMC, I could see any of them making a pretty pedigree, but I like Kernite. I like the symmetry of the father following father on the top and the mother following mother on the bottom... with hot and cold in the middle.

Hmm...I do admit a preference for having it be strictly my line, which lets out Red Marl.

And orange really doesn't go too well, so I think Hessonite's out, too.

No previous red/pink for Blue Diamond...but the blue matches the Winter sire in the other...

I've got a new adult. She is an AP grab I saved for her pedigree. Her Snow Angel mama is a different version than mine... which opens some interesting pedigree possibilities for breeding.

I suppose, since she's a girl, the little fog can grow up. My sunrise hatchling got frozen already (the one that isn't in my signature anymore). I'm open for Valentine's Day eggs and I can't find Kitsuru (the girl who gives me holiday eggs).
